A day at the lake!

 It was sunny and hot and perfect for swimmming......

 Heidi was a good little boat dog, we threw her in the water to cool her down, and she loved it.....once she got back in the boat.

Then a little storm started rolling in......the boat wouldn't start.....and we were stranded.

  In the middle of the lake.

Then came the rain and the thunder and lightning!!

 The clouds began to rotate and lower.....

 And we saw a tornado!

We got towed back to shore and ran for cover!

 A little nerve wracking to watch.....but a cool experience to have since we made it home safe and sound!

Around here lately......

We had a beautiful spring!

 

Eaten lots of good food....

  Saw Katie Herzig and Sara Bareillas in concert, so good!

I've been addicted to Tropical Starburst....

 if you haven't tried them, you should....they are delicious!

 We found a snail on a leaf at work and decided to keep him as our shop pet.... 

 he loves blackberries....

Hanging out with friends.... 

and hiked up to a waterfall, which because of a pretty dry year so far ended up being more of a trickle....

 but still a fun day!

We have been having a lot of fun, and Summertime has only just begun!!

 Love this time of year!

Well, I guess he really is getting old.....just a few days after Joel turned 30, he hurt his knee.

 Getting out of bed.  

 And ended up needing surgery!!

   Just a little out of it afterwards.....

 and had to use crutches for a few days...........

 

 but he was a really good patient and is healing up really well and feeling much better!

The Burch family has a furry new addition!!

 Little miss Heidi.  She is so snuggly and sweet and we love her so much!!

 

Even if she is a little bit naughty sometimes!

Happy 30th Birthday Honey!!!!

Well, I am now married to an OLD man.  At least for a few months, till I join him..... Then I'm sure 30 will be the new 20 again! 

30 is a pretty big deal! I had his birthday all planned out since January, it was so hard to keep it a secret! I wanted to tell him a million times what we were doing. But I am so happy I was able to surprise him!  I rarely get to do that.  He thought he had it all figured out, and I pulled off some great acting skills to keep him thinking he was on the right track!

 

We drove up to Mountain View to Locoropes, it was a really fun ropes course, and zip lining.  We had SUCH a fun time!!

 

 

He was VERY surprised and we can't wait to go back!!!
